November 2007 Stampin' Highlight from Meg: Cutie Candy Packets
These Cutie Candy Packets are perfect for a quick holiday gift for neighbors, friends or coworkers. They also feature the newly released Build-A-Brads, which are a great embellishment for any project!
Stamps: The Snowflake Spot
1. Make a small box to hold the candy -- 2 Hershey's Treasures candy will fit in this size. Cut Night of Navy cardstock to 2" by 3", then score 1/2" from all 4 sides. Clip the cardstock along the score line up to the score line on all 4 corners, and fold up to create the box.
2. Fold the Vellum Cardstock so the small box will sit in the center. Use the Blizzard Jumbo Wheel to stamp snowflakes on the Vellum Cardstock as shown.
3. Fold a piece of Brocade Blue ribbon over the top of the packet. Secure in place with 2 brads--one from the Hodgepodge Hardware, the other from the Build-A-Brad set. Use the Build-A-Brad to hold a d-ring from the Hodgepodge Hardware set in place as shown.
4. Pick a small frame from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit and use Craft & Rubber Scissors to cut one end from the frame, creating a hanging tag. Tie the tag onto the d-ring with Hemp Twine.
5. Finish the Build-A-Brad by stamping a snowflake from The Snowflake Spot in Night of Navy on the Brocade Blue cardstock. Punch the snowflake center with the 1/2" Circle Punch, then add a Mini Glue Dot to the back of the circle.
6. Press the circle onto the Build-A-Brad, and add the acrylic bubble to the top to finish the brad.
7. Stamp snowflakes from The Snowflake Spot onto Avery Mailing Labels. Peel the labels up and apply them to the Hershey's Treasure candies.
8. Add the "joy" tag to the Hodgepodge Hardware frame and finish as shown.
Give to friend, family or coworker as a Cutie Candy Packet gift!
