November 2006 Stampin' Highlight from Meg
Over the last 2 months, I've ordered nearly 80 of these
Bitty Books for people. They are REALLY
popular! If you haven't had a chance to put one
together yet, check out my tips below for putting
together your own Bitty Book album.
Meg's Tips and Tidbits:
- Don't attach the paper to the open box—if you glue the paper down and then try to fold the box, the paper will tear along the seams. I found it was easiest to attach the paper to the folded box.
- 2-Way Glue Pen works very well for holding the paper to the folded box. I applied the glue to the paper and used the brayer to be sure the paper was applied firmly to the box.
- Mark where the 1/2 circles will go on the paper and use the 1-1/4” Circle punch to punch these out BEFORE you attach the paper to the box.
- For ribbons that go around the edges of the box, you can tuck the ends under your paper if you think ahead and don’t glue the paper firmly at those spots.
- Mini Glue Dots are perfect for attaching the Hodgepodge Hardware and the On Board Accents to the front of your box.
- The Designer Series Paper can either cover the edges of the album or the inner edges of the box. If you cover both you're likely to have trouble getting the album in and out of the box.
- To distress the edges of the Designer Series Paper on the box, use the Stampin’ Up! Sanding Blocks.
- To color the On Board Accents, be sure to use Craft Inks.
- The pages in the Bitty Books are 3-1/4" x 3-1/4". Pictures printed as Wallet Size are perfect to use in your Bitty Book.
