Masculine Cards
With Father's Day approaching, I get lots of questions on what stamp sets are good for masculine cards.
Well if your guys are into sports, consider some of these sets from the Stampin' Up! Catalog: Sporting Goods (page 118), Good Sport (Retiring - page 119), Angler (Retiring - page 146), The Back Nine (Retiring - page 153)
Nature scenes also work well. You might try stamp sets such as Close to Nature (Retiring - page 137), Wild Fowl (Retiring - page 138), Fantastic Foliage (Retiring - page 138), Lovely As a Tree (page )
Ephemera Stamps are also good for masculine cards. Try Travel Post (Retiring - page 150), Office Ephemera (Retiring - page 151), Thinking of Father (Retiring - page 156),
Or you can also use stamps for specific interests, such as At the Races (Retiring - page 113), Fire Brigade (Retiring - page 150), Set Sail (Retiring - page 153)
Shapes also work for many occasions: Smile (Retiring - page 82), Simple Circles (page 173)
Don't forget that nearly any stamp set can be used on masculine cards when you use ink colors from the Earth Elements color family, especially browns such as Close to Cocoa and greens such as Old Olive.
